This CD has made me discover Platos HalO. A band with a totally brilliant singer that reminds me of both Kate Bush and Tori Amos. … Art Rock Magazine, 06/2000

If you like your music to be weird and female fronted, then you must like Platos HalO. "In The Pink" makes clear that this American band is indeed influenced by Kate Bush Rock Report #46, 10/2000

Platos HalO's In The Pink is one of the surprises on this album. A unique guitar sound on this waltzy piece with the very distinctive vocals of Marija Rawlins. At times she does remind me of Kate Bush, but of Kim Wilde as well. A sensuous track. Not progressive maybe according to some, but very enticing. Axiom of Choice, 08/2000

Another very alternative track and the only song with female vocals is In The Pink by Plato's HalO from the U.S.A. Vocalist Marija's soprano vocal melodies evoke images of Kate Bush. Effective use of simple keyboard notes and sliding guitar. Not really my cup of tea, this somehow succeeds in captivating me each time I hear it. DPRP - Dutch Progressive Rock Page, 09/2000

"In The Pink" by Platos HalO is one of the most interesting tracks on this compilation. I haven't heard about the band before so this track was a nice surprise. The guitar playing is really different and the soprano like vocals by Marija Rawlins reminds a lot of Kate Bush. I think I have to try to get hold of a copy of their self-titled album from 2000. Platos HalO. Vocally, you'd have to combine Anneke Van Giersbergen, Pat Benatar, and Kate Bush … and given that I like all three vocalists, this is a good thing. Closer to Pat in that she sings a bit more lively than Anneke, but closer to Kate in that she doesn't vocalize in a rock way - voice more as instrument. But I like the music, too, which has a big-band kind of feel. These are guitars, bass and drums not trumpets and trombones, though. But you can see a big band getting into the same kind of sing-song rhythm that Platos HalO do on "In The Pink". Progressive World, 07/2000

Platos HalO from Las Vegas who combine the vocals of Kate Bush, atypical prog swingbeats and classic progressive influences. Glenn Kachulis and Marija Rawlins are true innovators and are another highlight. Zeitgeist, 12/2000

I particularly like Platos HalO, what a great female singer in the true Kate Bush style! (Arjen Lucassen, Ayreon)

What I like most are Platos Halo and Paranoise. But once again, all bands are fine ! (Jean-Luc Morcello, Eclipse)

There's some great music on there ! My faves are #5 Scythe, #6 Tunnelvision, #9Platos HalO (Michael Harris)

PLATOS HALO-"In The Pink"
Quite unique in it's mixture of styles but there are very definite Kate Bush influences. It works well and again is well performed and produced. Excellent harmonies with interesting chord sequences.

reviews at Garageband.com 5 out of 5 stars for Halos' Corona

Platos Halo "Halos Corona"
outstanding atmosphere and thanks for a seductive journey into the unknown.

Gothy Goddess
Nice production, Nice wide stereo
image. Great female vocals. Well
rounded with personality and ability. I got up and started shaking my ass to this track. Great job. You sound like a goth-goddess! Liked the tune. good luck!

Nice Groove
Very engaging groove, great melodies give a kind of middle eastern vibe. Love all the guitar harmonies. Very dark mood, dark like mischief not like murder, and thats a positive thing. Very cool song held me till the end. Will listen again.

 Creativity
First of all this song has a really creative flow to it. I enjoyed the changes in rhythm and pace. the instruments are crazy! Reminds me a little of industrial rock. The melody is also kinda catchy. I really enjoyed the production of this song. the mood is dark. Rhythm ROCKS!

a new NIN
80's intro, almost sounds like i'm in top gun and the matrix at the same time. I really like when the song actually kicks in, good feel. Good vocal range with upbeat yet dark mood. The hook is good.  very industrial, atherial feel. I like the cello/synth sounds. and this is definitely a unique song hearing a female industrial vocalist. I like the tone and the mood that is set, very Egyptian and sexy. I really like the song overall. I would suggest to cut most of the intro and shorten the song a little bit, try around 4 minutes, the bridge is very good with the synths I would keep that. Good production, good song.

Cool intro! Vocals and vibe are reminding me a bit of a modern gazpacho. I think this is quite original. Production is very good. I like the break at 2.23!
It's cool how you made use of stereo sound. Now it reminds also a bit of pure reason revolution.
This is perfect for a splifftrip :)
Very spacing/laidback mood.
